What I miss most about this vacation:
- I didn't see anyone on their phone ALL week.
- My dream husband, the server named Duane from South Africa
- The disney crack, also known as their soft serve ice cream.
- Themed music whenever you stepped out of your stateroom. Pirate night? Pirate music. We're in cozumel? Mexican Jams. Day at sea? "Some day my prince will come!" and every other disney song ever recorded.
- How patient my dad was.. with a few exceptions:
- We sat down for one of the shows, a Disney Cruise Line original. Five minutes in they started singing their first song. Five minutes and 4 seconds in my dad was outta there.
- The handle on his suitcase broke, when we arrived back in Orlando he had to repack everything in a mall parking lot. He wasn't happy, but all us kids found it hilarious.. which made him even more unhappy.
- The jokes my sisters, dad and I made in one short week week
- Walking into a nightclub in sweats at 11 on a Friday night looking for a restaurant. "IDs Ladies?" .... umm yeah we're going clubbing like this with our dad. That's Flounders Road for you.
- After chatting it up from SLC to Orlando with the (obviously a little feminine) Flight Attendant, I decided to call him my boyfriend, because that's how it happens right? When my dad started paying attention he turned to me, somewhat appalled and said, "You LIKE him?? ... but he's gay!"
- Watching people stare at us while we danced in the Lobby between the show and dinner.
- Eating endless amount of cherries in our Shirley Temples
- Being the only family on board with four teenage girls and no children.
- Walking into the movie theater to take a break because we were so tired by 3 and falling asleep watching The Great and Powerful Oz.
- The Magic and nightime gameshows.
- Trying new things: Goat Quesadillas and Escargot.
- Watching Disney movies up on deck after everyone had gone to bed.
